It will probably come as no surprise to animal lovers, that Meg's new mum is Jean Spencer, the Rochdale Animal Centre manager.  Jean has fostered Meg since she arrived in the centre in such a pitiful state. She has nursed her through the initial operation to try to save her leg and again when the leg had to be amputated. Meg, despite the cruelty she endured before coming to the centre, is a loving and lively puppy. who has also bonded with Jean's other dog, border collie Lass and her cats Max and James. Jean is looking forward to many happy years with her new companion.
